We are happy to host a Zoom session with William Belov, a Moscow-based Columbia EMBA-Global alumnus (‘14), to hear his views on the impact of the current geopolitical events on his venture capital business as well as life in Russia. William will share his candid views on how the unprecedented Western sanctions have and will affect his business.

Based in Moscow, William works in private equity and invests in technology companies including gaming and software. Prior to his current role, he was the CEO of several technology companies and has successfully launched businesses in Shanghai and Hong Kong. A Russian native, William holds two master degrees in finance and psychology respectively, as well as an EMBA-Global Asia degree from Columbia Business School. He lives in Moscow with his wife, his son and a lovely cat. 

This event will be conducted virtually via Zoom, and will be moderated by Nicolas Tse (CBS’19), Director of Business Development at a consumer consulting business firm in Hong Kong. Prior to this role, Nicholas was a software engineer at Bloomberg based in New York.
