The Women’s Committee held its 10th event since its inception in late 2023, with the objective to build community and philanthropy among CBS female alumna in HK.

The “Women in Tech” panel was moderated by Co-Chair Esther Ma ‘92 and featured three panelists -  Karen Zhang ‘07, Fang Fang ‘07 and Yamei Wang ‘25. Topics discussed included the advantages of women leading tech projects and investments, key criteria for evaluating the success of AI companies, views on tech product developments, effects of AI on future job market, and advice for the the younger female generation to be future AI ready - proactively learn new trends with adaptability and intuition.

The panel closed with an interesting insight towards three jobs that will never be replaced by robots - wedding planner, luxury travel agent, and hairstylist - primarily jobs that require a strong human touch for fastidious customers.
