Eighteen CBS alumni and friends joined a lunch session featuring Anita Ma ‘99 on education investing in China. Anita generously shared her takeaways from starting a kindergarten chain and a K-12 school in Beijing together with her partner, how they overcame regulatory challenges and worked with PE investors. The audience got a glimpse of what it is like to combine passion and investment and what it takes to create and manage a great educational institution. Anita also spoke about her volunteer work in Hong Kong, where she has been involved in nurturing a think tank focused on shaping and improving education. She further emphasized the pivotal role CBS has played in fostering her passion for education.
